Protecting Destinations
At ITT, we take great pride in supporting and protecting the destinations that host our annual ITT Conference. We recognise the importance of sustainable tourism and the lasting impact that responsible travel can have on local communities, businesses, and environments.
Each year, we actively engage with our host destination to contribute meaningfully—whether through charitable initiatives, sustainability projects, or partnerships that leave a positive legacy. Our commitment extends beyond the conference itself, ensuring that our presence benefits the destination long after our event concludes.
Below, you can explore how ITT has supported previous conference locations, demonstrating our dedication to preserving and uplifting the places that welcome us.
For ITT’s 2024 Conference, we were delighted to support Halkidiki as our host destination and contribute to its environmental conservation efforts. As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we donated our Conference offsetting fees to Sithonia Monopatia, a remarkable initiative dedicated to preserving and promoting the region’s natural beauty.
ITT Conference delegates donated €5,250 to Sithonia Monopatia.
This incredible organisation has already established fifteen hiking routes in the Dragoudelis Mountains around Marmaras and Parthenon and is now raising funds for a new trail in Porto Carras, the location of the 2024 Conference.
Our contribution supports their efforts to enhance outdoor recreation and sustainability in the beautiful Halkidiki region, giving back to the local community that hosted us so warmly.
During ITT’s 2023 Conference in Qatar, we proudly supported the ‘A Million Trees More’ planting initiative, launched during Qatar’s Sustainability Week. This impactful project was developed to combat climate change, desertification, and to protect Qatar’s unique ecology and biodiversity through the planting of indigenous trees. As part of ITT’s carbon offsetting efforts for the Conference, we contributed to this initiative by planting trees, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability. Each tree planted is trackable via Eco Matcher, allowing us to monitor their growth and positive environmental impact long after returning to the UK.

At the ITT Conference in Istanbul, ITT proudly supported Trees4Travel as part of its commitment to sustainability. Hilton measured the event’s environmental impact through its LightStay Report, and ITT used the carbon offset fee to contribute to a positive environmental initiative in partnership with Trees4Travel. This collaboration ensured the Conference not only inspired industry leaders but also took steps to reduce its environmental footprint.
