NEW ITT and AWTE collaboration announced
ITT is delighted to announce a new collaboration with the Association of Women Travel Executives (AWTE), a member organisation that provides women in the travel industry with a program of professional development seminars, workshops and events.
This new partnership will allow the two associations to work more closely together where there are common goals. This includes collaboration on existing events throughout the year, benefiting members of both associations. The boards will also be looking at new event opportunities bringing all members together, to network and share best practice.
To recognise contributions to the industry, the AWTE will be sponsoring the brand new ‘Trailblazer of the Year’ award at the ITT Future You Awards; which will be awarded to an individual who has done exceptional work in championing diversity, equality and inclusion within their business, the industry, university or college. In return, ITT will be sponsoring the newly created ‘Rising Star Award’ at the annual AWTE awards which will take place at the AWTE Christmas Lunch on the 6th December 2022. The Rising Star Award will be an opportunity to celebrate individuals who are making waves across the industry and fast tracking their career.
Dr Steven Freudmann, Chair of ITT says “There has never been a more crucial time for collaboration, as we look to rebuild our industry into a more sustainable and welcoming place to work. ITT and AWTE have worked closely in the past and we look forward to strengthening that relationship as we move through 2022. The Trailblazer of the Year award is a welcome addition to our suite of inspiring ITT Future You Awards and we are proud to sponsor the new Rising Star Award, championing the next generation of industry talent; which as at the heart of what ITT is about. The ITT Board is looking forward to collaborating for the benefit of members of both associations.”
