Training & Professional Development
One of the Institute of Travel & Tourism’s principal objectives is to raise and maintain professional standards in the industry.
Continuous Professional Development is important to individuals as well as to the future of the travel and tourism industry. ITT works with partner organisations and industry professionals to provide training courses and seminars at reduced rates for Members.
The People 1st State of the Nation report has recognised that whilst female workers make up over 70% of the sector’s workforce, they’re hugely under-represented when it comes to senior, with only six per cent of the board directors.
People 1st is aiming to change this with two free government funded learning programmes, enabling women to achieve their full potential as managers, board members and chief executives. Employers will also benefit from a highly skilled and highly performing workforce. Both programmes are evidence-based, with a careful selection process and underpinned by extensive People 1st research.
We have negotiated subsidies of 90% on course fees - with learning and development worth over £1000.
