The President’s Dinner
In October ITT returned to The Dorchester Hotel in October for the annual President’s Dinner. This enormously popular and successful occasion was attended by senior people from across the travel industry who were entertained by comedians who mocked the travel week, and The Rt Hon Charles Kennedy MP who was the after dinner speaker.

Belgium FAM Trip
In October, P&O Ferries showcased their Hull to Rotterdam and Hull to Zeebrugge ships by taking ITT members to Bruges. With overnight sailings to and from Zeebrugge, members got a taste of the high life onboard the ‘Pride of York’… not to mention a taste of Belgian chocolates and beer!

ITT Annual Conference 2007 Gran Canaria
When delegates describe an event as “the best ITT Conference I’ve been to”, you know it’s been good! The speakers were excellent and the business sessions were, as one delegate put it, “upbeat, motivational, inspiring”.

11th ITT Masters Golf Day
Despite the somewhat damp conditions in Surrey, another ‘full house’ enjoyed their day at Burhill. As befitting a golf club celebrating it’s centenary, the course was in exceptional condition. Despite the conditions, it turned out to be another successful Masters Tournament and, as well as Tourism Ireland, ITT would like to express their thanks to all of the hole sponsors supporting the event and to the team at Burhill for their hospitality.

Cyprus FAM Trip
In April, ITT Members and Fellows went on the ITT Fam Trip to Cyprus. This mixed group of retail agents, operators and tourist board representatives were treated to a very relaxed four days at the Aphrodite Hills Resort Hotel, where the 2008 Conference will be held. The organisers kept it low key and laid-back, but that was because they didn’t need to ‘sell’ the resort - it sold itself!

2006
Zimbabwe Fam Trip
The first of ITT’s educational visits took place in October. Hosted by the Zimbabwe Tourist Authority and Air Zimbabwe, seven ITT members travelling as part of a UK & Ireland party joined an international group representing Russia, China, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates on a joint fam trip to Zimbabwe.

President’s 50th Anniversary Dinner
ITT went to town to celebrate its Golden Anniversary on 10 October 2006. The great and the good of the travel industry gathered at The Dorchester Hotel in London for this very special occasion, where they were entertained by comedian Tim Minchen and after dinner speaker Boris Johnson MP.

Chairman's Summer Cocktails
On one of the hottest days of the UK heatwave, 160 ITT members gathered in the Pavilion and Terrace bar of the House of Commons. Often referred to a the post-conference reunion, the speaker at the Chariman's Summer Cocktails was Michael Howard MP, ITT's guest speaker in Oman.

ITT Annual Conference 2006 Oman
Our biggest event of the year – the ITT Annual overseas Conference – was a huge success. Some 400 delegates attended this event, which took place at the brand new Shangri La's Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa in Oman, 12-14 June.

10th ITT Masters Golf Day
Whoever said SE England had a major water crisis was obviously not at Burhill Golf Club on Monday May 22nd for the 10th ITT Masters Golf Day! The course was in stunning condition and, like last year, the competition came 'right down to the wire' in the end. Nail-biting stuff!

Odyssey Supper
The second of our Odyssey Suppers at the House of Commons took place on Thursday 04 April. Our guest speaker was Mark Tanzer, Chief Executive of the Association of British Travel Agents. Mark provided an enlightening insight into one of the biggest shake ups in ABTA’s history and his vision for the future of the organisation.
