Every year, ITT organises a variety of popular events which enable Members to learn more about their industry at the same time as networking in both formal and informal settings.

Annual events include: the Members-only overseas Conference, President’s Dinner, Golf Tournament, Chairman’s Summer Cocktails and Christmas Cocktails.

Throughout the year ITT runs Odyssey Suppers at the House of Commons and a session at World Travel Market. ITT endeavours to find different ways to satisfy the increasing need for events.

ITT networking events are extremely popular and tend to sell out very quickly. New events are being added all the time so keep checking this section of the website for updates.

ITT Lecture

The 2016 ITT Lecture will take place on the evening of 22 September, with Sir Brendan Barber, Chair of the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS), invited to offer an 'outsiders view of the travel industry’ to a select audience.

This is the second event of its type to be commissioned by ITT as part of its remit to develop and maintain high professional standards throughout the travel industry.

In contrast to the ITT Odyssey Suppers, which tend to have speakers from inside the industry talking about their lives within and thoughts about the industry, the ITT Lectures are travel’s answer to the Reith Lectures, offering an outsider's view.

Guest speaker Sir Brendan Barber was appointed as the Chair of ACAS in January 2014. He was the General Secretary of the Trades Union Congress (TUC) from 2003 to 2012 having first joined the TUC in 1975.  Well-versed in negotiations, resolution management and change management, Sir Brendan is a regular media commentator and newspaper columnist. This exclusive event for key travel professionals will be staged in the unique Durham Street Auditorium at RSA House in London, and will be topped and tailed with networking drinks and canapés.

The two hour event will also include a Q&A section, allowing the audience to give their own feedback and deepen the conversation.
