Events

Every year, ITT organises a variety of popular events which enable Members to learn more about their industry at the same time as networking in both formal and informal settings.

Annual events include: the Members-only overseas Conference, President’s Dinner, Golf Tournament, Chairman’s Summer Cocktails and Christmas Cocktails.

Throughout the year ITT runs Odyssey Suppers at the House of Commons and a session at World Travel Market. ITT endeavours to find different ways to satisfy the increasing need for events.

ITT networking events are extremely popular and tend to sell out very quickly. New events are being added all the time so keep checking this section of the website for updates.

About Richard Prosser:

After leaving TUI Travel PLC in 2010, Richard has established a portfolio career, mainly focussed on advising, and investing in, private equity backed businesses. In 2011 he was appointed Chairman of CarTrawler, which was sold to BC Partners and Insight Ventures in 2014, creating the largest ever exit by volume for ECI Partners in their history. Richard is currently Chairman of the Audley Travel Group (backed by Equistone) and TuskerDirect (backed by ECI) and also advises the private equity industry on a wide range of deals across the travel, leisure, technology and consumer sectors.

He has been a member of the World Economic Forum's 'Global Agenda Council for Travel & Tourism' over the past 5 years and is currently on the Dean's Advisory Board of Oxford Brookes University.

His early career and experience in the travel industry was gained through a variety of mainly overseas based management roles for the Cosmos and Globus Group, before joining First Choice Holidays PLC in 1996 as Overseas Director. In 2000, following the strategic decision to focus on specialisation and internationalisation, Richard was appointed to the First Choice Executive Board and became Managing Director of the newly formed European Specialist Division and then by acquisition and organic growth over the next 7 years, created a diverse portfolio of over 30 specialist travel businesses, operating from different 15 source markets.

In 2007, Richard was part of the leadership team that merged First Choice with the travel division of TUI AG to create TUI Travel PLC, which became a FTSE100 company, carrying over 30 million customers on a wide range of holiday experiences every year.

At TUI Travel PLC, Richard was Managing Director of the Special and Emerging Markets Sector and a member of the Group Management Board.

Richard is still passionate about travelling the world for pleasure as well as business and also enjoys mentoring business people who are either going through career transitions, or involved with start-ups.
