"We are delighted to be recognised by the ITT as a Centre of Excellence. Having worked alongside the ITT for a number of years we are looking forward to working with them more closely in the future. Being one of the first Universities in the UK to offer a Travel and Tourism Management degree and having some of the highest entry qualifications in the country for Tourism programmes, we are an established provider of high quality tourism education, which ITT have now officially recognised. We look forward to the opportunities that being an ITT Centre of Excellence will provide, including the Student Awards, developing further industry partnerships and continuing to work towards our goals of enhancing the student experience and developing employability skills"

"We chose to apply to be an ITT Centre of Excellence because we believe ITT reflects our enthusiasm and passion for applied research and consultancy. Being an ITT Centre of Excellence is also a great way to have our commitment to students employability and entrepreneurship recognised and we value all the benefits of ITT membership, especially the Awards Scheme".

ITT created the Centres of Excellence status to recognise leading universities keen on working particularly closely with the Institute.
Universities with Centre of Excellence status will be able to use a dedicated logo, receive support in organising industrial placements, have access to high level industry speakers, have access to senior industry figures for research purposes and will grant an annual ITT Centre of Excellence Student of the Year award to a student identified by the university.
