The latest ITT FAM Trip was hosted by P&O Ferries to showcase their Hull to Rotterdam and Hull to Zeebrugge ships.
ITT members met up in Hull and were given tours of the port’s Rotterdam and Zeebrugge Terminals. A brief tour of the ferry the ‘Pride of Rotterdam’ was followed by an evening sailing to Zeebrugge in the ‘Pride of York’.
Each member of the group had an outside cabin with ensuite facilities for the journey. They had dinner in Langham’s Restaurant on board the Pride of York – there’s a Langham’s on all P&O ferries – then enjoyed the excellent bar, entertainment, cinema and casino facilities. With little sleep, they regrouped in Langham’s for breakfast before disembarking at Zeebrugge.
The group were taken to Bruge by coach and had a day at leisure to explore this wonderful medieval city. By all accounts, they also took full advantage of the famous Belgian chocolates and beers before returning to the ‘Pride of York’ for the overnight journey back to Hull.
The group reported that they had a fantastic time and made full use of the onboard facilities whilst making new friends and contacts!
ITT would like to thank P&O Ferries for sponsoring the FAM Trip – which only cost members £20 per head. In addition, the group would like to give special thanks to Paul Stones of P&O Ferries, who made sure that nothing was too much trouble and that this was a memorable trip for everyone!
Further Fam Trips are being organised – details will be sent out as soon as they’re finalised.
