Honorary Doctorate for Steven Freudmann

An honorary doctorate is the highest honour a university can bestow on business, community or other leaders within society. Steven Freudmann recently received this accolade from Leeds Metropolitan University. Professor Sally Brown, Pro Vice-Chancellor at the University introduced Steven and highlighted his various achievements and his facilitation of closer links between universities and industry.

ITT Professor Rhodri Thomas commenting on the award noted that “Steven is concerned about professionalism within the sector and has provided strong and imaginative leadership, especially in relation to links with higher education. I am delighted that the University has recognised his work in this way.”

Dr Freudmann received the award enthusiastically: "I am delighted. I consider this a real privilege”.

ITT Research Student Awards 2009

The 2009 student awards were presented by Janet Anderson MP at the House of Commons.

The presentations took place at the Chairman’s Cocktails on 23 July. Each winner was awarded with a certificate and a book token provided by the category sponsor.
