PHASE III DIPLOMA CONSULTATION EVENTS

QCA and the Travel & Tourism DDP held nine regional events during 2008 to help shape the Diplomas in Public Services, Retail, Sport & Leisure, and Travel & Tourism.

The Diploma is an exciting new 14-19 qualification that will bring an innovative approach to learning. It will enable students to gain knowledge, understanding and hands-on experience of broad sectors that they are interested in, while putting new skills into practice.

For any additional information on the Diploma in Travel & Tourism, contact John Humphreys – john.humphreys@people1st.co.uk

The purpose of the regional consultation events was to:

  • seek constructive feedback on the draft Lines of Learning Criteria;
  • identify any common issues across Lines of Learning;
  • ensure the draft Lines of Learning Criteria are fully inclusive and do not pose any unnecessary barriers to access; and
  • facilitate general discussion on the appropriateness of progression pathways identified for each line by the Diploma Development Partnerships.
