Rail Europe recently hosted a group of 10 ITT members on a FAM Trip to Paris. Proving that the world is getting smaller all the time, it was a day trip to one of the most exciting and romantic cities in Europe.

An early start from St. Pancras International was offset by travelling First Class on the Eurostar. Accommodation, service and breakfast were all excellent. Then, when the group arrived in Paris, they were whisked off to a local bistro for a superb taste of French cuisine.

After lunch, everyone got on the Metro to the Eiffel Tower. But they didn’t go upwards, nor did they stay on the ground. Rather they boarded a Bateaux Mouche and embarked on a river cruise on the Seine. The fact that it was a gloriously hot day made the trip even more enjoyable.

After a short break in a bar, the group boarded their return train. This time they travelled Standard Class. Not as grand as the outbound journey, but it did give them the opportunity to experience both classes available.

The hospitality throughout the day was second to none, and all the members of the group thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
