Tourism Malaysia and Malaysia Airlines hosted a group of nine ITT Members on a week-long FAM Trip that included visits to Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and Penang.

Sharon Ho, Deputy Director of Tourism Malaysia in London, did a terrific job looking after the group, as did a number of excellent ground-handler tour guides.

The group flew with Malaysia Airlines on interternational and internal flights. The operator provided exceptional service throughout - it was clear to those on the trip why the airline wins so many international awards for in-flight service.

Everyone also enjoyed the excellent hotel facilities during the tour, staying in 5* properties in all three centres. Most meals were provided by either Tourism Malaysia or the ground-handler at each destination and consisted of a range of Malay, Thai, Chinese, Indian and Western food. Needless to say, everyone in the group will be visiting their local gym now they’re back in the UK!

The excursion programme was packed with highlights throughout, but the group particularly enjoyed:

• Tour of Bintang Walk, Golden Triangle Shopping Area, Central Market and China Town and Tour of Putrajaya, visit Prime Minister’s Office, Putra Mosque, Waterfront Promenade and lake cruise in Kuala Lumpur.
• Oriental Village – Cable Car, Galleria Perdana, Eagle Square & Shopping at Kuah Town and Mangrove Tour – Eagle Feeding, Fish Breeding Farm and Bat Cave in Langkawi.
• Heritage Tour by trishaw, City Tour, visit to Fort Cornwallis, Penang Peranakan Mansion, Kek Lok Si, Penang Hill, Wat Chayamangkalaram and the World Music Festival 2008 in Penang.
