Steven Freudmann introduced Lawrence Hunt by quoting a letter published in Travel Weekly singing Silverjet’s praises and calling on agents to support the company.

Although he acknowledging that Silverjet was going through a difficult time, Lawrence Hunt expressed his optimism for the future, revealing that he’d literally just flown in from Dubai where he’d been negotiating a $100m investment in his company.

High oil prices have obviously caused difficulties for the airline, as has the fact that Silverjet is still unable to interline with other carriers. However, Lawrence said he was upbeat about the future, not just because of the new investment, but also because the failures of EOS and MAXjet had resulted in an increase in sales and bookings for Silverjet.
