Lastminute.com is one of the most popular travel and leisure sites in the UK with around 2.5 million people logging on every week. Lastminute sells package holidays to over 750,000 people each year, hotel rooms from around 80,000 properties worldwide and flights from 300 airlines.

Our guest speaker for this supper was UK Managing Director John Bevan who has held a variety of roles within the organisation since joining in 2004. He started as Holiday Director before taking responsibility for Flights and then assuming the role of Travel Director. He was promoted to his current role in July 2007.

John joined lastminute following the acquisition of OTC where he was Marketing & Product Director. He was responsible for a number of leading websites including bargainholidays.com; onlinetravel.com; ferrybooker.com and ifyouski.com. He’d played a central role in the acquisition of the ifyoutravel brands, merging these brands within the OTC portfolio.

Before then, he was Managing Director of EMAP Digital Travel, restructuring the company prior to its sale to OTC in June 2001.
