Traditions are kept alive in these villages where the cultivation of the vineyards and wine making are still the main occupation of the inhabitants. This is the area which produces the famous local dry red wine.

Finally, visit Omodhos village, one of the most beautiful wine producing villages on the island on the southern slopes of the Troodos mountains; it's well known for its wines and intricate lace. You'll visit the Church of the Holy Cross which stands by the stone paved square and houses a piece of the Rope said to have been used to tie the wrists of Jesus Christ. Another unique place is Linos, a traditional wine press that has been restored in an old house.
