Soaring temperatures, good company and a celebration of young talent were the icing on the cake for another successful event!

Once again the ITT Chairman’s Summer Cocktails was a sell-out with a long waiting list of disappointed Members. For once the weather lived up to its name and everyone enjoyed the ambience of a hot summer night.

The Rt Hon Margaret Hodge MP, Minister for Culture, Creative Industries & Tourism, was the speaker at the event. She emphasised the importance of professionalism in a highly competitive global industry and praised ITT for its contribution to quality standards, and also for all its work on the new 14-19 Diploma in Travel & Tourism. She said that having a high quality product was especially important in the run up to the 2012 Olympic Games, not just for potential wins for inbound tourism, but also to secure a lasting legacy for the tourism industry.

The highlight of the evening though was the presentation of the ITT student awards. Congratulations to the following award winners:
